Yes the last few months were sad and kind of ruined the image of the spidey. For me it is a great box, but eventually it will be a brick like my Mvision and Techi 1000.

Some people got a raw deal when they bought the spiderbox towards the end of support but all i can say that i had 2 years with very little problems and its still going strong

Have to say in defence of Spiderbox and gift, the channels lasted a long time for most and still have a solid enough box capable of serving 10 other boxes? in your own home if you want.

When I had the IKS patch loaded without being connected to the service I suffered from constant glitches every couple of minutes,This happened even with lines switched off, I think it was because the system was trying to connect but could not because there was no valid key. This stopped when I went back to the March patch so maybe worth a try.

If thats true thecrazybandit I for one will never buy one it was the worst forum I ever joined. If they couldn't solve your problem your problem did not exist. The Spiderbox was only good for the free gift if it lasted a year. See how they sold a box one week then cut the gift off the next told you lies then more lies about the server.
Basically it was a cash driven project I have a 7000HD great box by the way but after sales is ***te

I doubt you will see another spiderbox in any form (Darkman) dropped all support after a few months for his 800HD box and since the failure of charging for the IKSpatch which should have been free but again greed got in the way.

There are other receivers with a free gift patch that have been out before the spiderbox even became popular and are still going strong now when the spiderbox has vanished

They still sell for a good price on fleabay but , to be honest I can't see a new one coming out and being successful unless it has "bonus channels".

The support has gone now because the spiderbox is no longer made but they say a new spiderbox is in the pipe line time will tell if this is true or not

I can't see there being much more support to be honest , it is like when technomate was dropped in favour of sb, now it is onto another box and so on.

Do you guys think that there will be any more support for the spiderbox,i see most retailers have stopped selling them ,dropped like a hot potato ,but i suppose we will get a few more years out of them.

I don't use iks either, but I did load that patch. I don't know whether it is an inprovement on the March 2012 patch other than having VAS removed, but it is the latest.

    hi bam27beer

I agree with Mobley3: good chance it won't work on vista - I had more luck before with XP, and even before that with Win98 - don't know if you still have one of those (or a friend?) - as also said: once it didn't work at all ...
