There is not any updates for the spiderbox any more but this a good box as it is c lines work fine but server 3 is a bit overloaded so try and get a few more posts in and try server 4

I have a spiderbox HD 9000 have had it for a couple of years worked very well with the gift now going to try with clines. Are there any updates for the software and the text up dates. The box works well with free clines in the early afternoon but after that it is a waste of time. Any advice on what works well ?

i think you should be seeing client set-up in that menu, as spiderbox client box.
servers are better out of peak viewing times.
perhaps new box required, net application ??? (suspect)
have you tried lines as tests posted by members
as to see if your box accepts any of these.

satlovers server gets overloaded as many cheats copy free lines here and paste on other forums so lines vanish very fast, these free lines as most members know give all newbies a chance to view whats available via cccam, archmage newbie here, lets hope he sorts his spiderbox so at least he can perhaps get a look-in.
cannot stress enough how important it is to stop this cheating going on as this server here is for honest members only.

Couldn't agree more, however it was seeing Satlovers lines posted on geronimosden that led me here, Genius move having the website as password!
Just in case I do have my setup ok, I have found a 24Hr testline for just £1 which I will do tomorrow, then if I can't get that working I will get a new box!
And use my Spiderbox as a FTA spare.
Oh! Just had a thought, as I get up for work about 5am would the server be less stressed then? Would that be a better test?

You are right i cannot believe how quick these lines are around the net how do i report these people as sometimes i have seen them on other sites with in minutes of posting

as you might know, my model 7000hd
not to sure about your model if its similar, but
if you press menu, right scroll to usb, scroll down to network, press ok, in next menu can you see client setup.
let me know.

When I press menu I scroll down to Options right arrow and down to Network
Press OK and I get 4 options

IP Setup
SW download
Net Application
Key Update

Net Application is where I enter lines

Yes I am on Server 3 if it is a bit overloaded then that might explain it.
Probably the wrong time of year to be trying to work this out!!

Are you using server 3 if so when connected it should say how many cards connected but i must say i an struggling to open much at the moment with this server being so overloaded

Thanks for all your help, here is where I am at now.
I deleted everything and did a scan on 19.2E
I put in a line, pressed the red button and got the message
"STB is connected to Server 1"
Exit to channels and on the right I see
"Connection : 1"
Now all I get is Black screens apart from the FTA channels.

Should I get number of cards displayed on the SD5000?
I am using the latest 2.32 software is this version ok?
Sorry to ask so many questions, but It feels like I am doing it all correctly, but getting nowhere.

I have yet to find a channel which opens with a line from here, my guess is that I am looking in the wrong place, or simply doing something else wrong. If I knew what to look at at least I would know if my setup was ok, so a hint would be welcome, should I be looking at Hotbird, Eutelsat, Thor or one of the Astra sats for example.

About your other questions: think most of them are replied to by the other members here above

About this one: to test the free clines from satlover: as said by thecrazybandit: take for example Astra 1 on 19E - plenty of packages open there (eg sly germany). Take a free clines from here and try - can be seen on the spiderbox it the line is connected to satlover server and with how many cards? If not connected: try another cline. Once you're connected to the server start looking what's open (as Mobley3 said: plenty open, can take about 10 sec. to open). Honoustly: as new member with few posts there will be probably freezes, but you'll have an idea of what's open. Even perhaps more stable on less used/popular sats.

Try to do a full channel search on say Astra 19 east but only search for tv only this will save space on the memory then just delete the channels you will not watch server 3 is working now with satlover lines so try them now

Lots of channel on 23E,19E,16E,13E .8 W all open with lines from here,
You will only have access to Server 3 until you increase your post count.
give them a little time to open before zapping to another channel.

I think you first of all need to do is check which sats you can receive, program them in your box (if this hasn't been done already) and do some scans (manually, auto, blind - as you prefer). Which dish and lnb's do you have?

As said, I can only help with 'general' things - how it really has to be done on the spiders must come from a real owner
When I look at other boxes: there's always some kind of a channeleditor available (sort, favourites, delete, ...).

Sorry I missed this reply last night, I am still trying to work out how to do that, I didn't get a manual with my box so I am working blind.
I have a 1.2m motorised dish and I can "see" most of what is up there.
The problem is that 5000 channels is not enough!

The channel lists are as very good and the people who make them spend a lot of time making them but i just scan my own channels in then delete what i do not need the satlovers lines open most channels what are available with the spiderbox sd

yes, all the good lists are for the HD models the SD lists dont have that many sats on them
