Re: best dish
What size dish do you have now?
Someone said to me before I bought my dish that the best "new LNB" is a "bigger dish" (which makes complete sense). I would go for that option.

Re: best dish
Anyway are there good dishes and less good dishes. For 1 mt dish I suggest you a Gilbertini or a Triax dish. Time ago there was Channel Master dishes too, those was really good but they don't still produce any satellite equipment atm. I suggest you to buy a Gilbertini also I suggest to take care to choose LNB and the cable. Like LNB you can buy an Inverto are good and cheaper, if you wanna the best LNB ALPS is the choice. Few words on cable, it is often not considerated much into installations, and ppl don't likes to spend much for this component. This is a big error it is like you buy a Ferrari and then use cheap tires on it. Cables are much more differents, and between a good cable and a bad cable you can have also 20 db of looses in 30 meters. I hope to have helped you, if you'll say me where you're and which satellite you wanna receive I can help you more.Just click on thanks button if my post has helped you

Re: best dish
If you use a rotor the size of disc is essential to receiving a good amount of satellites. is clear that the discs are not all equal in size, resistance to rust, ect. a disk of aluminum is definitely more expensive, more durable, lighter than a hard ironComment

Re: best dish
ok. I realised I could use the downloaded channel lists.
I get Supersport 1 - Supersport 5 all fine (those are the only ones listed on my channel lists).
Do you want some signal strength readings? I could give you one of the other channels at 1W, 16E and 28E.

Re: best dish
These are my readings.
BBC World
SNR: 82% AGC: 74%
Tring Comedy
SNR: 83% AGC: 75%
BBC 1 South
SNR: 89% AGC: 80%
So not that different to yours.
I'll find out the channel settings for Supersport I have and see if those are the same as yours.
