Not too sure but i think possibly why BT sports are still there is maybe because they deal direct with NDS subscriber management instead of going through $ly themselves.

News and Film4 though are part of the $ly package so thats a strange one

It could be that they are on terrestrial freeview so they do not need any decryption

And on Terrestrial freeview you can only get these channels with an official BT youview receiver as they are encrypted

In Italy we have MTV HD, Real Time HD and Cielo HD still visible with the old decoding system.

I would have thought this is relevant, sky news and film 4 are beamed down by sat to the freeview channels and can be obtained free on freeview, I know in theory that you are not watching sat on the terrestial channels. but the question was why can these channels still be seen on the sat and the rest have disappeared, I hope this will further answer the question and still be relevant to this section.

Sky news on the Sky platform has always been FREE and so has Film4 it is the HD equivalent which is not broadcast anywhere else apart from satellite and cable and both HD versions need an official subscription to watch.

Freeview only has the SD versions of Sky News and Film4

in CS nothing can be safe and we can't do something about that

Only we can enjoy the sd channels for as long they are open

can not clear it !

Sky UK HD channels must work in official receiver box.
Try contact Sky customer service.
