What's going on? Is this the end of CS?
Only HD channels? Can someone tell us something else?
        Regards.

Just my oppinion but if they were stopping HD channels wouldn't the first channels to go be
          sports and movies?

Sky UK are doing the same as Sky IT have done. Pairing Boxes for HD channels.

I think that all providers soon or late will do this pairing in order to protect their products

Sadly yes a change of codecs that our current boxes cant handle, maybe new boxes will come along.

Re: Sky UK stopping HD channels on CS.

This has been on the Cards since Sept 2012 when they first introduced that all new HD receivers would do an ID hardware pairing procedure to the Card and Box, That meant from around 18 months ago slowly but surely people have lost all HD and premium sports/Movies on there cards.

The only way around this was to pair to an Older receiver, what they have done now is change the parameters on the Channels so only the Official HD receivers (Latest model) will decode these channels.

Th reason they start with a few channels is to test the new feature so if any problems it does not cause concern to official legit subscribers, seeing as it appears to have worked and Football season is nearly over Expect All HD to be Gone before the 18th August start of the new season.

They have also been swapping out all old SD/HD receivers for the new wireless HD receiver once the swap is complete everything will have gone.

Anyone have a timescale on this, No idea the old saying how long is a piece of string comes to mind

Re: Sky UK stopping HD channels on CS.

Starting with channels that they will not get a lot of complaints from does seem like a sensible approach. Unfortunately all these things eventually move on and so the search begins for other means, like a lot of others on here I have gone through many changes in the last 25-30 years, although I do think that the next means will need digging a lot deeper in the pocket sadly.

                        Regards Mobley3

I have been looking at a lot of other packages and most of the HD channels have stopped working

so, if am i not wrong,

my understanding is that a part of decypher
                            is hardwarded from the card
                            into the pair satbox-personnal.smartcard

so the solution should be to clone and resolve this hardwarded locker

a great challenge for satbox makers

So do you think the actual boxes will be able to handle with this?
