I have read up online that it seems some are dodgy channels. So I'm hoping that is the problem.

How are you finding your box so far?

It looks ok, heavier than my DM500 so it's a good point Now it's scanning so i just made the little things about settings. I'll give you my opinions later hoping everything will work

Well i had many problems, no image and no sound in certain french channels, so burnt a new firm. Then i got lost of signal, reboots, problems... I burnt another firmware which seems to be the most stable 15/08. HD channels doesn't work, SNR is unstable and the screen stay black. SD channels and cccam are working well but i uploaded a channel list and it's far far really bad against dreambox... I'm unhappy for now and hope to find some improvements with tools or new firmwares soon

It does sound like you're having a bad time. You might want to try seeking help on the openboxforum as it specialises in openbox's. I hope they can help you out with it.

Thanks i'm already a member there but i am asking the chinese seller a discount in order to buy a DM800 HD, i'm too disappointed with the openbox... I know some members told me but i wanted to try...

I've been messing around with my openbox resetting problem. It seems it is related to a cline dropping our or something. As I've been trying it again and once server 4 passwords were reset today it was perfect, then about an hour ago it started dropping out and rebooting.

So i'm guessing it might not be able to handle when a cline just drops out for a few secs. Going to keep messing around to if it is indeed this.

dont have that problem with my spider, the cheapest hd box ive ever bought cos i paid £145 for it but sold my old doorstop box for £70, so cheap hd box cost me a total of £75 only. can anyone beat that, would like to hear your story,

Well, yesterday i received my DM800 clone and i'm in love with it! It's 200% better than openbox S10!! All my previous problems with openbox are instantly solved with the dreambox. I really recommend you Darkbus to buy a dreambox 800 instead of your openbox, you won't be disappointed.

the cheaper one i s openbox s9/10 . almost nice picture n hd reception with good blind scan.

Cheaper, yep. But from far not the best receiver. You get what you pay though.

We know what is best, so don`t tell us what is good. We are talking about cheaper receiver. Maybe dream box is best or azbox, but they are not cheap...

It's not exact! I am the one who opened this thread so i know what i'm talking about! Firstly i asked for the best cheaper HD receiver, not only the cheaper! Best cheaper! So for a few more dollars (i paid my DM800 clone 150$ fedex shipping included) i can say now that dreambox 800 clone is really good! I tried both openbox and dreambox and i can say dreambox is really really better and not so expensive (60$ more than openbox).
