I thought about the tuner but the strange thing is that when i watch a fta channel and the DM freeze i can watch the channel without problem, so signal is ok and the channel works. It's strange!!Comment

Do you use the same lnb - diseqC - cable with the other dreambox ?
... because maybe these cause similar problems

Kalpikos, yes i use same cable diseqc but another cable between my wall and the DM because it's in another room. You think the cable can be the problem? I can try with other but it would be strange because i have more freezes with certain images and the cable is always the same. And yes i tried a clear image without plugin and i got a freeze today. Thank you for your help.Comment

Also have some problems with dream box 500s as it some times does not respond to the remote control and I have to take the power off for it to work again. In your case I think you have to check if you have a original or a clone dreambox. Do not use original images for clones, and lock around for the best images available for clones DM. Open pli is a good one.Hi! I have a black DM500s since a couple months and i have a persistant problem. I tried many images (OpenPli, nabilosat, gemini...) and everyday, 1 or 2 times a day the Dreambox freeze, i can't do anything, remote doesn't reply, button doesn't too. I need to unplug it to reboot an after that it's ok but sometime 1 hour later it will block again. Sometime it works 2 days without problem, sometime 3 blocks in 1 hour...
I have seen that when the problem appears and I'm watching an fta channel the image doesn't freeze and i can watch but no more remote.
Any help? Thanks

No fan, no overheating because sometime it happened at the first minutes of watching! I have a clone and only tried clone images.Comment

I think gemini is a better than PLi, because pli makes too many beta images and also too many images for clones...They do not pay a lot of attention to them.
Gemini on the other side is better, even though I use Nabilosat DarkStar II, and am not very satisfied...Comment

Pli images have many beta versions known as Open Pli images , Pli turko etc
Pli gade 3 is a pure image, no beta, very fast, rock stable and I think no TimeBomb (if i'm not mistaken).
Gemini is like a sweet into a beautiful paper but inside is't as good as it seems.
When i had gemini, i seat next to the DM and every hour i pulled the plug to restart it because it freezed. And to think that i had the original DM500
Now with PLi i never have problem.
