I think that buying a new power adapter 12V 3A isn't good idea, beacuse recomended power adapter for dm500s is 12V and 2A.

If I'm not wrong dear @ricouskim , you said that you have an older dm and the result changing the adaptor was the same - freesing ??

So the best choise for you is to go dm for service beacuse is hardware problem.
Don't spent your money buying something witch isn't for you.
Power adapter 12V 3A is for dm600 and dm800.

Humm well so what to do, i think like you kalpikos because my other dream works and i swapped the power supplies... But returning my dream will be expensive too because of the shipping costs so... It seems i have to do with the problem but if it's hardware i wonder why it freezes more depending what image i install, with some nabilosat many freezes, gemini too and with my last open pli jade i have less freezes, sometimes 2 days without a freeze and for example today 3 freezes in 5 hours...

It's normally to have less freezes with Pli Jade beacuse it's more stable image than the others.
Recently i have the same problem + problem with my network and i spent 60 euros to fix it.
It was same capasitor burned and something else that i don't remember.
From then my dm works ok.

You can always try to find a dm500s replacement motherboard...
not sure it is worth a try btw....

Thanks Whinpo but at this price i can barely have a new chinese DM clone. Maybe i'll take a look inside the DM to see if some transistors are bummed... For now, it's just some freezes a day so it doesn't worth to pay a big price to fix it.

problem must be everywhere. my sugestion is to install a freesh image with no plugin in it and see if it freeses or not

Thanks, but it will be difficult to check because when the DM freezez fta on a fta channel the chaneel works and the image and sound is ok i just know it freeze because i can't do anything whit the remote or buttons on front of the DM. Maybe i could try to do that and let it turn on a fta channel during & whole day and check back if it is frozen.

Thanks i uninstalled all plugins on open pli jade. For now no freezes, let's wait and see.
