This is only my opinion but I think its of the mould of the cheaper boxes of which I have Openbox Skybox. Changing sats its pot luck if you land on the sat and thats after saving the position the box is not a patch on earlier version. But I guess with the perfect gift not a glitch worth the price its a pity you can't just apply the patch to an older box.

I think we have to wait a little as some improvements will come soon .

I think not having a sat button will be big blow for motorised owner. I use disecq and have always just zapped between channels irrespective of satellite. But motorised owners don't want this or their motor would be zipping about like a spider on redbull.

            Re: Spiderbox Owners Chat!

I find it hard to believe that a modern Sat receiver would not have a Sat button, surely it is one of the most used buttons on the handset for most people, even if they only have a couple of sats available on a fixed installation.

Does the box have a fav list, if it does put one channel from each sat in a fav list rename channel if you can and when you want to change sat's go to your fav list and click on the the sat you want and it should move to that position.

Quick question. I am still on an old 9000 spiderbox with old (at least 12 months) software... Is there any compelling reason to update? I haven't had any issues and keep seeing stability related comments with new SW..

If you are quite happy with box why on earth would you want to change something that might wreck it, the old adage don't try fixing what ain't broken is still true.

March 2012 was the last software available other than the V**iks patch, Unless you intend to subscribe to this service I would suggest leaving well enough alone as has already been said. Loading the patch can lead to problems with glitching etc.

Mobley speaks a lot of sense, the March 2012 patch works well, if you get problems just do a hard turn off (switch at back or unplug for 5 mins ), restart and usually all is well.

                        Re: Spiderbox Owners Chat!

Why on the hell is difficult without Sat Button ( can be add any time by S/W any way )
But even if no why I could bother to much...

                        I Press OK Button:
                        You get Options
Satellites or Fav only by moving left or right Buttons very simple way.

Importend for me is not sat button ( even $10 Stb will have it) but the futures of the STB it self...Just let you know i am watching for totally Free Movie in PRIMAFILA PPV in Italian channel now.

Sorry hosemaria, but if you look back to your earlier post which is the one I was commenting on you will see my problem, you obviously hit the letter B instead of the letter N,by doing so it looked like you were saying that it was a problem.

                            Re: Spiderbox Owners Chat!

Seems to be a lot of confusion about moving satellites. Here is how it works and why I see this as a problem. Press OK and channel Menu comes up at the top of this page will show "All Satellites" so below is the full channel list. You then press the "Blue Button" this highlights the part that says All Satellites by going left or right you can change this to the satellite you desire. Here is were I might differ from the rest of you say I am sitting on 28.2 press right goes to 26 bare in mind the minute you press the button your motor is engaged. So to move from say 28.2 all the way to 0.8 you have to keep pressing the key to the right each time you press the key you are giving a new set of instructions to your motor. What you have to do is let the motor move to the next sat then give it instructions to the following satellite so you don't confuse the motor my point was that all you will do is confuse the motor and you will eventually be going to your motor to reset it.
As far as I can see there are four blank keys on the remote but is there room in the program to install a satellite moving button only the manufacturer can tell. If this box did not have the gift I for one would definitely not of entertained it.

Like i have said before the gift is the biggest selling point on the box without that it is just another budget box
