Does anyone know what the twin in the menu is for in the 6000hd as there is only 1 tuner??

This option is the twin protocol ,like rs232 protocol called in other receivers etc.
Maybe you need it for future use.

For Spiderbox HD6000, as you can see in the pictures scrolling down or up to every channel you can see it's EPG .
The Advanced Timer allows you program to watch or record 1 to 8 events .

While I do not have a 500SD I have read quite a few posts on it.the general conclusion seemed to be that the 2.15 patch was better when using a Cline.

Scooterman, yes you are quite correct. Thats how it works, but there was an additional line after port which said "port to" I wondered what it was?

Thank guys, I appreciate all your comments, I got a test cline which did work fine with 2.32 but when I got a nline it failed totally to clear although it did indicate a connection, I went back to 2.15 and got it all working so I stopped there!
I do have all of the versions somewhere, but as long as it works I will stick with it.

As I said, now I am thinking of getting an upgrade to take advantage of the HD channels (I didn't have an HDTV when I got my 5000).
But my wife is not impressed with the epg, she wants to be able to scroll down and pick out a programme to watch or plan what to watch later like the sly box.
Any suggestions?

So much for the theory that the latest patch is the best!
I reverted to 2.15 from 2.32 and now everything is working fine, apparently there was a bug with the nline routine.
12 months for a tenner! happy bunny here!

Perversely now I have finally got it working I am thinking of getting a 6000 for the HD Channels.
Could someone tell me what the EPG is like, as if I am going to get this past the wife it needs to be on a par with the sly box

I dont have a 5000sd ,in network do you change from cccam to newcamd ?
to change port dont you just type the port number from remote over existing port number.

EPG is what provider send .
For the most packages is now and next .
Although some channels have 7 days EPG .

There is absolutely no point in putting on that patch if you are not subscribed to that service, all it will probably do is give you random glitching as it tries to connect to the service. I have already posted before on this, and it definitely will not clear any channels for you without a subscription.
