Re: New cheap HD receiver for Card Sharing
Hi runmo, for what I know (I just reading an italian board about this box, I don't have it) this box don't allow you to change just cccam into firmware, it is enclosed into firmware image, so if you load one firmware version you'll have the relative cccam enclosed. For models it depends from your country, there are 3 models of this box, one just with DVB-S and S2(HD) tuner and it cost less then 100 euros on web, then 2 models one that has built in also DVB-T (HD) tuner and another that has built in also DVB-C (HD) tuner.
Now the choice depends just by what you can receive in your country. In Italy for example we don't have DVB-C but DVB-T so we choose the model with DVB-T enclosed. At last you need to consider if you'll buy a cheap box you can't expect to have the same flexibility of linux box, but it will do just the basic job, ah I've noticed all Edision can record also HD programs on an exernal hard disk connected on USB.
