Yes it works just check what sim release it has inside so to know what image you can load, latest clone sim relase is 2.0.1 bootloader 76. Also sim ferrari is ok, but if have it you'll need to load images patched for this kind of sim.
Last suggest, try to buy your clone by a seller that offers service, it's really hard to send your box in China if you'll have problems then!

From your flag I see you're in UK, I'm in Italy so I ever brought from italian's sellers, and is not convenient for you to buy in Italy, anyway I suggest to don't choose the seller with lower price, better you'll choose a seller that offers direct service, like I've wrote all clones are made in China and is really hard to get service from factory then.

I don't know how long these boxes are going to have support and updates... Seriously, I don't wanna rain your parade but at least dreamboxes are not going to get discontinued within months...

Although I do get satman's point about the dvb-t and the half price. I just don't use dvb-t.

If you wanna share your card, use the latest softwares and cccams I still recommend getting a dm800 clone. Or a VU+ if you have that much money. There are good distributors in the UK for clone boxes.

Hi resident, if you're not intrested to dvb-t there is a model of Edision just with dvb-s2 tuner and it costs less then 100$. Anyway watch out about DM 800 HD, it is going to be replaced by new DM 800 HD ver.2 model, it has 2 card slots and a different cpu.

I'm sure the Chinese will clone the dm 800HD ver2 to.
But I agree with satman that a good service is necessary.
Maybe those English distributors do this well compared to the chinese.

I have the experience of chinese clones, not only about sat devices, and at the first moment, the quality is Ok, but some months later, there is a lot of problems, because the devices shows some bugs, and the service usually is very poor or there is no service at all.
Be carefull with Chinese products. So on if you pay is made with paypal, 60 days
after, the Chinese will not return the money to you and if you must send your product to China in order to change it, you´ll pay the shipping cost.
So I prefeer to buy a device where I can get a good service.

For years I bouht a mobile phone from Hongkong. The price was very good, but after one year the phone make many problems. Wrote email to the salesman, but I get no answers.

That's what I mean with no good service. Once you have a problem very difficult to get response from China. And if you get one, don't forget article must be send back to China, so you'll pay (expensive) shipmentcost.

So conlusion : or you purchase dreambox clone in Europe or if you don't want to spend to much money a edision argus, as the topic of this treat is new cheap HD receiver for card sharing

I prefer to buy things to shops that are close to my house so if anything goes wrong it is easy to send it back....

Like I've wrote I've suggested Edision Argus because it is cheap and is made in Europe, I know it is not linux box but if you just wanna watch tv in HD, use cccam, and record your programs it is ok, also you'll have service if box will have any problem. If you wanna a linux box I suggest an Azbox, it is not a clone and is cheap, not like Edision but are two different products. I know Azbox is not a Dreambox, but truely I think prices of DM HD boxes are out of world, is not honest to pay more then 400 euros for a DM800HD, and more then 900 euros for a DM 8000 HD. I know there are clones but a clone has no warranty in effects, so better to buy someother original box and let DM to fail.

Since view weeks i have a Opticum 9600 HD Receiver.Its a Polish Receiver and i think it is a good Receiver.The support is good in many Forums.The Price is 130 euros.He use cccamd and other emus.and with the patched emus soft,the included conax cam change to a allcam.my sky abo work in the cam whit no problems.also a HD+ card work in this receiver

I agree, price of original dreambox HD model is expensive. Meanwhile there are other linux boxes that support direct or inderectly cccam.
One of the best linux HD receivers at this moment is the vu+duo (there's also a vu+ solo) Some call it already "the dreamboxkiller". Also some teams who make images for dreambox models, make images for the vu+ duo and solo (for example open pli), meanwhile there are already different images available. Price is around 409 euro's at this moment for the duo.
But as Satman said, there are eaven less expensive ones (linux based or not) on the market for cardsharing.
That's why I don't understand that dreambox keeps the prices so high for there boxes.

Because there are funboy of DM, like for other products. I can assure you, DM's hardware is nothing of special referred to other boxes. Most of DM models has been revised just for the bad hardware. The DM fortune has been CCCAM, and now into ppl mind just DM can use cardsharing, this is only reason they just still on market. When ppl will know there are many other good boxes able to handle cardsharing, DM will have two ways: or sell their boxes an honest price or to close.

DM at the moment is simply overpriced.But,because so many people know for them,they keep high prices.Just like Apple does with Iphone.
As for chinese boxes,I bought it with mind that it will probably stop working after sometime.I don't care about warranty,cause device either work or not.
You have to know that chinese are advancing in big steps,and soon,they will be better and still cheaper.
