    @purenirvana
    Not an exact answer to your question, but more a general one and useful for someone else maybe. IF you are about to buy a surround receiver, some of them have remotes which supports most devices (including Dreamboxes).
    Can only recommend ONKYO as that is what I have. With the accompanying remote I control my other devices.. (Toshiba TV, DM 7025+ and Kenwood DVD player)

      Re: Universal remote recommendation

      Hello everyone. Today i bought a Silvercrest remote control. I tried to program for my philips tv and it worked very well but i cannot put my dreambox 500s working. The dmm does not appears in the manufacturers list and the silvercrest have not found the sat box with the search function. Does anyone have this working with dm500s?

      regards

        Hi BlueIsMyColor

        I remember that there is a code for dreambox, but not all functions working right.
        It's better to program all the buttons one by one with the learn function from the old remote control.

          Hello, my friend kalpikos. That's the solution: learn keys (one by one). After 1 hour the remote is working. Silvercrest does not recognizes the dm boxes. I think is a great remote control for the price. The only thing less positive is the touch of the keys (is not so smooth and a little noisy).

          regards

            Not as most of you guys i would stic with Logitech one, as they are much easier with new devices and programming it from internet by usb is just great.
