The only way to increase the reception for a Satellite dish is a LNB with a low rate signal/noise and increase dish size and a good satellite/dish appointment.
Any other kind is not the best to do it.

... Don't forget the cable quality, it makes difference too expecially on long distances!

Are you sure about this? Try to use a cable with 50 db of attenuation for 100 meters and then you'll see, the low signals will disappare!

A few of tips from my brief experience with satellites:

Ideally use a single length of cable and avoid connectors/couplers.

Protect connectors from any possible water ingress,

A 20db inline amp was installed to fix the glitching which is common on some HD channels. Had a major effect on the SNR figures. Replaced with a 13-18db inline amp which has little effect on the SD channels but resolved the HD glitching.

Lower noise LNB will help a little on weaker signals, but nothing can beat a bigger dish to get the best possible signal!

Try and move the dish in an minute upwards motion temporarily and see if it improves signal strength. The most common problem is setting its initial vertical position correctly. It is affected by even half a millimetre movements.

A big dish and a good low noise lnb will do the trick. Also make sure the dish alignment is perfact !
