Sorry, i should have mentioned that I had a Vu+ Duo.
      I didn't realise the dm500s didn't have that option.

DM500S has the "go to standby" option - the red and green lights turns on. I'll try it.

            Re: Risks of cardsharing

Someone said that turning off emulation in CS will NOT brake Ecm's if you leave rec in encrypted channel!!
That's not true. It'll BRAKE the cs ecm's process because there's no emu to send the inputs to the server.

Also if rec is put in standby on encrypted channel while Emu is working it will keep the ecm's and server connection, so, good advice if someone doesn't want to turn off the emu is to leave the rec on unencrypted channel, fta.

As a user m8 you need to worry about availability of cards to the other users!
Leaving channel to CCcam to decode while you're gone will only add to overloading of the same server and glitching to the other users!
Quite irresponsible opinion I must conclude m8

Yes. I've gotten into the habit of leaving my receiver on a fta channel and disabling cccam when not in use. Unfortunately not all people are as considerate as we are.

All right as a 'simple user' I have no fear ; I doubt 'they' will look for us. Me too, normally turn cccam off before shutting down, indeed perhaps even better to tune to fta (will try not to forget).

when you finnish viewing, if you leave your box on standby always leave on fta chn as this also helps the server.
Do not send me iptv/cline requests,

I use mgcamd and when its on standby it doesn't use ECM, on my dm800.

                            Re: Risks of cardsharing

As said, try to go on standby on fta and without cccam. My box is only connected to the router and in standby there is no signal on the router/internet. Also I presume that this doens't affect the server -> Can this be confirmed or am I wrong??

                            refer to post 161.

                              Re: Risks of cardsharing

Yes, if you've turned off emu then there's no server load!
It affects the server only when you view the channels and decrypt them 'cause server must give you ecm response for dcw to create in your rec! So technically speaking, server is loaded with your ecm request! So it does affect the server, and that's why it's needed to turn off emu or leave it on some fta channel which is much faster.
                              cheers

                                hi

Thanks for the clear info ; can't help it, but I keep on wandering how the server can be loaded when the box is in standby and the signal or the router of this specific line in the router isn't active. Also in the router soft/login, there's no active session or IP address.
Can this be explained or do I get this wrong?

Anyway, will try to put in in standby on fta with server off.
