Thats not quite correct the Mini Flashup button on the back of the newer 800/800se clones is put there to do away with an RS232 serial connection and the button is used in connection with the Mini-USB port.

The Chinese cloners realised that most computers/laptops these days have done away with RS232 serial ports on the back so they replaced it with the Mini-USB and mini flashup button.

In other words it does not reset the image its a direct replacement for the old RS232 and using a Null modem cable if you brick the receiver

To buy a vu+ clone, it's not a very bad idea because they have better quality than dreambox clone.

Some members here on forum have already bought a clone and from what they say are very satisfied.

Of course, don't forget that buying a clone you will have some limitations on the image that you can use because the clones won't work with the latest images + drivers.

This is very difficult to be done.
Moreover I think that they check the mail for high technology in order to ask more taxes or even to reject the entrance.
