I am on PLI 4.0 now, how can I download plugins from Pli server throough my Box

Go to menu >> pluging and then hit the green button (download plugins)

so, i understand that with vu+solo2, it is not necessary to the puzzling about:

- boot loader
- sim version
- image version vs sim or boot loader

all this seems to me as being much easier (and maybe safer) than for dreambox ? or db-clones ?

is it correct ?

Vu+solo2 it's a very safe box, faster than a dreambox without bootloader, sim etc

That's why many people so far have rejected the dreamboxes and bought a vu+solo2

I was stuck with the dreamboxes and I also hesitated to buy a vu+.
I made the big desicion to buy it and so far I'm very happy with it

I think so, its very easy to flash as compare to Dreambox, no cable, no ftp, just USB, and its done

Openpli4 is much better and faster.
I suggest you to try it.

Many of the plugins you need you will find them from the downloads of the openpli server.
Unfortunatly you will not find there tspanel and tsmadia.
First you will install tspanel and then you will be able to find all that you need.

I always install ipk files through VCC

I just start with PLI 3.0, its so easy to flash this STB, but, there is no Ts Panel, no, Tsmedia

I would upgrade to Openpli 4 version 3 no longer updates. Plugins are very easy to install via telnet or even easier via vucc, worth downloading or by software magement on the box itself. These days I always install manually and unpack the Ipk if necessary.

There is no boot loader etc on vu+solo2
Don't be afraid

Just download the last image that you will find on openpli page for vu+solo2 and unzip it on a usb.
Start your receiver from deep sleep and press the power button.
After some minutes the flashing will be completed and the box will restart by it self and will be ready for use.

I just receive Original Solo2, It seems slightly different from Dreambox, Any advice , how to handle it, like, Flashing, Updating ?

Start with Openpli 4 just download it, unzip put the folder on the usb and flash from USB stick, most things you need emus etc are downloadable from the image CCcam.cfg and keys go in etc not var/etc that should get you going.
