I seen elsewhere some good reviews for the "EagleBox HD800" and "Eaglebox HD Mini" and they are cheap.

I never tried eaglebox but yes it's cheap. Openbox is cheaper thou.

bin plenty said on here bout openbox, not very good but they not my quotes.
sataday hope you not getting another box your spider has plenty of use in it, as ive said previously, in my eyes boxes deemed by few factors, what you want to pay, what you want to view.
what chns can a more expensive receiver get than a spider. im going to get a lot more use out of mine yet.

keep your eyes open on the carboots and fleabay there are bound to be a lot turning up for sale because if they dont pay to watch they will not get anything out of them,the only easy one left is ucas,they all seem to struggle with cccam

Ucas is a software emulated cam you will find it if you goto menu then key edit and switch it on hope this helps you.also switch on auto update
That is if you are running a spider.all other sets may have there own way of gaining access to it.

Thanks but why should it be better than cccam? I only have dreambox 500 and 800, no spider.

I never said it was better than cccam I said some people cannot manage cccam and the only thing they have left that they could use was ucas.and it does not open a large amount of channels.not sure about dreambox there should be a cam emulator for that box, have you checked inside the menu on the box,there must be a cam emulator for your box some where to download.

No, I've no intension of getting rid of my spiderbox, I agree there is plenty of life in it yet. I've just got to get my head around CS, but I'm getting there with the aid of very helpful people on this site.

yes ucas is a down loaded extra (emulated cam) in the spider box, you still now an then need to update this s/w which open chns via keys, a lot of these box owners DO know cccam way which is very simple. there was a lot of people very happy at what they could view, so they diddent bother with cccam, but a lot learning fast, when i got my box cccam was on it in a matter of hours, simples

Ucas is not downloaded on its own. on a spider it comes complete with ncam,cccam,ethernet as a package
