Hi mate

Your receiver don't have some led that indicate that is on.
When you turn on the box you must see after a while on display panel "Ariva tv" and other info.
If nothing appears , your box maybe is broken.
I suggest you don't flash it with any firmware because you will probably lost the waranty.
It's better to contact with the store you bought it and arange a return.

What I meant is that if the rs232-flash tool (with nullmodem-cable!) from the ariva homepage gets connection, the electical power is ok and the failure seems to be in the firmware.
If not, you're right and there's an electrical failure. In that case: back to the store.

But (as far as I know) you won't loose waranty if you flash the correct official firmware from ferguson.

Thank you all.

The box has been sent back, hopefully it will get replaced with a "working properly" one.

I didn't try to refresh the firmware, though. It very likely had a problem with the power supply.
