Re: Recommend me a DVB Card

TBS cards are way more pofessional but the price is high but you wil get what you pay for.

I also use a SkyStar S2 PCI card and works great with almost popular DVB-Software.
Although I have encounter problems with some software but than some say it work by them, so the choice is up to you.

The actractive is Technisat because it's budget friendlyness

      About Technisat drivers
It's not only my opinion. Many respectable people on Russian SAT forums say the same. Drivers are "wet" and they have no plans to update them.

      This is TBS PCI card
      _http://www.buydvb.net/dvbs2-tv-tuner-pci-c-1/tbs8922-pci-dvbs2-tv-tuner-card-p-39.html
      It costs 67 dollars
This is wild guessed link on Technisat card online sell
      _http://www.vesalia.de/?V02b0f12555f411377595c56520a514e01101f09544147520 50140090a1e31115579633a223c6373744e03263f2a2a73661 560131e7c7523376b7072286a7a3c6b0e7c6a77090b7256016 54a49465e454159343e6b175742591e66521e70531d5a752b7 67976526670217a6d716c7

Version with Remote control costs 42 Euro - it's about 60 dollars

Maybe Technisat card a little cheaper, but TBS much more looks like a modern DVB-S2 adapter.

      About Prof
Older PCI version card is able to buy for only 33 dollars
      With remote control

Buy me a normal card and I'll send you my Skystar USB HD in exchange!

To be honest, I've ever used Technotrend and not Technisat...
but I couldn't propose them, cause I'm not sure about latest ones, do you know something?

You can find Technisat SkyStar S2 HD cheapest here, and many other brands. You are saying you want a not expensive sat card, well SkyStar S2 HD is the more expensiveless card you cand find.
            Code:
            http://www.alternate.de/html/highlights/Hardware-Komponenten-TV-Karten/158/432/?tk=7&lk=8584
This site is very reliable because I have buying there at least 4 times and I have had never any problem.
SkyStar is a german brand, and this site is from Germany too.
I know there are other good sat cards as besit says, I have no dubt, but they are more expensive too. I know there are cards with plug Xpress too (Technisat SkyStar S2 have a Xpress cheap card too), but you must consider if your PC have more than one Xpress slot. And you have to consider the shipping costs too.
My PC have only one Xpress PCI slot and I use it for my HD graphic card, so I only can plug a normal PCI sat receiver. I have no way.
PCI SkyStar S2 value is 50 euro with shipping costs included. HD card, S2 device.
            Best regards.

Re: Recommend me a DVB Card

TBS DVB card support Blind scan unlike SS HD2 and has better drivers.
SS HD2 has trouble with low SR, I have it so I know...

Sky Star is only brand, many other cards are much better at same price.

looks like TBS is compatible with blindscan, drivers are easy to get, working with hadu and satlovercccamplugin, quite stable working, costs less than 80$
                did you make your choice,Pal?

                      I use Hauppauge WinTV HVR-5500
I ve been satisfied with it so far..
(I had some problems with some channels, that could not be found, but it could be because of my old LNB :s or bad diseq)

I use Prof DVB-S2 USB 7500 (remote included).
I'm satisfied, it works well on Windows (xp,7 & 8) and Ubuntu 12.04, it supports hd tv, different plugins, blind scan, sat internet..
At the moment a good choice..

To Technisat Skystar, there are a few models:
                              Skystar HD2: 4102 - SkyStar HD2 - with ci slot - Recommended.
                              4103 - without ci slot

Also there are USB HD2 model to skystar with internal ci slot.
If you want a Skystar with usb interface, buy a Skystar USB HD2, if you want to put in a pc desktop, buy a Skystar HD2.

If you do not have a known working on the cam+card usb hd skystar without ci slot.

Normally you use usb smartcard reder
