    Touch screen is fine on a phone or a tablet but not on a pc even worse if you are using a tower and not a laptop

      I ve personally installed win 8 on hp but it is much slower than win7 as well as winxp and I m thinking again of clean installation of win7 on laptop aw win 7 is 32 percent faster than win8

        i got the cheap upgrade from windows 7 to 8 last year and put my own start button on.i use it like 7 so its a complete waste of time,so if your happy with 7 stop with it.

          Don't expect to put win 8 on any pc then expect it to run faster if your pc or laptop does not have the right specifications you are wasting your own time.

            I tried windows 8 and changed back to win7 .Just wondering now how long will it be before they stop support for win 7?

                yes if you think that XP are still supporting by Microsoft so 7 will keep going for a long time.

                  I think that they have a obligation by law to support a operating system for X amount of years after they cease production.
                  Same as the car industry when they finish with a model they have to provide parts for X amount of years.
                  The X stands for I do not know how many.

                        The windows 8 is faster than windows 7, with the application star dock, conseguiimos normal functional desk for desktop pc

                          If you like win 7 and it's working, Ok to keep it (don't fix what is not broken)
                          If you buy new computer with kick-ass processing power.. you probably will want windows 8, the future is going to be like the past M$ has been copying Linux and Mac ways of doing the OS ..So it is expected to see lots of android on the future windows and windows mobile-nokias also...

                            If your buying a new pc tower or laptop they all come with window 8 on them already so not a lot of choise
