Most of the time its the case whenever a new device launched, people find bugs in them. same case with windows. Then the developers releases some patches to overcome the problems. When S3 was launched people found some microphone errors in it which has fixed now. Hopefully Apple will fix the issue with their iphone5 soon.

When people start making complaints and return the devices. The makers take every complaint serious and their team start working to fix the bugs. After a few days they release a patch which replaces or embedded in the new devices and users get such devices as replacement. Sometime they release patches networkwise too and the updates are done through the networks.

Please read #post89, bonilla has posted an article about the bugs in iphone5 camera. It might not be a software bug, it could be to do with the camera lense.

Re: Iphone 5 and Iphone 'Evolution'

              Hello faz17 and microchick,
There is more now. Actuality is going worse for Apple :
              To our customers,
At Apple, we strive to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to our customers. With the launch of our new Maps last week, we fell short on this commitment. We are extremely sorry for the frustration this has caused our customers and we are doing everything we can to make Maps better.
We launched Maps initially with the first version of iOS. As time progressed, we wanted to provide our customers with even better Maps including features such as turn-by-turn directions, voice integration, Flyover and vector-based maps. In order to do this, we had to create a new version of Maps from the ground up.
There are already more than 100 million iOS devices using the new Apple Maps, with more and more joining us every day. In just over a week, iOS users with the new Maps have already searched for nearly half a billion locations. The more our customers use our Maps the better it will get and we greatly appreciate all of the feedback we have received from you.
While we're improving Maps, you can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use ****** or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app.
Everything we do at Apple is aimed at making our products the best in the world. We know that you expect that from us, and we will keep working non-stop until Maps lives up to the same incredibly high standard.
              Tim Cook
              Apple's CEO

I had missed this news. I think if the camera problem was recognized ,apple could not do anything because it would not be easy to change the manufacturer. as regards the maps the problem exists. all we can do is to wait for new updates.

Wake your iPhone 5 up from sleep, and the screen glows green around the edges. On some models, anyway. I think it's pretty hard to spot, but some say they complained about it, and Apple swapped their handsets for new models.

Re: Iphone 5 and Iphone 'Evolution'

Yes thats right. some people have mentioned that when they were using the WPA2 security on their router the iphone 5 browsed the internet very slow, but it came back to normal as soon as they switched the security back to WEP on their router. It's something to do with the WPA2 security as the new IOS6 was having issues with it.

Re: Iphone 5 and Iphone 'Evolution'

Usually the wifi problems appears when router have activaded the WPS (Wifi Protocol Acces), these problems dissapear when we switch off this protocol.
Smart phones (Iphone included) suffers this issue, but is very easy to fix it.

                        Best regards.

Re: Iphone 5 and Iphone 'Evolution'

A developer in the UK managed to discover a previously undetected flaw. UK mobile game development company CMA Megacorp revealed the bug on Friday morning on Twitter. The issue appears while diagonally scrolling on the iPhone 5, which sometimes caused the touch screen to drop out or even freeze.

The latest ios firmware has an incredible amount of bugs. And they have started to affect the apps too, causing compatibility and performance problems. It is incredible that they do not remove these through testing and development.

T hey will release hardware with buggy software and use the buyers as testers, after the bugs are found by the buyers patches get released to fix the bugs.
This saves the manufacturers time and money, why do thorough testing when gullible early adopters will do it for you.
My advice never be first to get anything new wait until it is tried and tested.

A new more alarming Wi-Fi bug has been reported; alarming because it could have financial consequences. CNN reports that “scores of iPhone 5 users” have experienced their phones “sucking down cellular data even when they were connected to a Wi-Fi network, resulting in big overages as they blew through their monthly data caps”. Apple pushed out a software update on Sunday to resolve the issue for Verizon network users. However it is unclear if other networks are affected.
