Re: Iphone 5 and Iphone 'Evolution'

I know I have a 2 year warranty on my phone as well, so will also be repaired or replaced should anything go wrong.
Our families went on holiday together recently and kids got a bit rowdy after dinner.
So I slipped a 32gb sd card into my phone which had 5 full hd movies for the kids to choose from.
Plugged into the telly and that was it, peace and quiet.
He couldn't do that with his iPhone.

This is another superb gadget popSLATE is an E-Ink screen in an iPhone 5 case. That means it’s low-power, always-on, super-readable in direct sunlight, and totally customizable. It’s a blank slate you can populate with the images you love. Now you can express yourself to the world, share cool stuff with friends, and always have your favourite app functionality at a glance.

Re: Iphone 5 and Iphone 'Evolution'

Apple’s next-generation iPhone 5S will reportedly launch this coming
June with a number of enhancements including a new “super HD”
display and camera, integrated NFC, a better battery and between six
and eight different color options instead of just black and white. The
report comes from Jefferies & Company analyst Peter Misek.

On a separate note Australian police have warned against using Apple maps.

Police in Victoria have urged motorists to avoid the use of Apple Maps, warning
that faulty directions on the much-criticized app have left motorists stranded in
the Australian outback for up to 24 hours without food or water.

Yes, they are also giving some news about thePreview of iOS7 in spring. Get ready for an (idiotic) 6 months cycle.

Re: Iphone 5 and Iphone 'Evolution'

Good news for Iphone 5 users ******maps comes to the platform and
good news for Apple as people are finally upgrading to iOS 6.

Apple is getting embarrassed right now as ******’s new iOS Maps app shoots to the top of the charts. But there is one upside to the beatdown. After three months of holding out to avoid Apple Maps, many people are now upgrading to iOS 6 or an iPhone 5. Last night I watched several people learn of the existence of ****** Maps for iOS, and the first thing they did was update their phones’ firmware.

Re: Iphone 5 and Iphone 'Evolution'

Apple has released another minor OS update for iPhone, iPad, and iPod
touch users aimed at fixing unnamed Wi-Fi issues. The 6.0.2 update
began to appear in iTunes on 18.12.12 with no other description besides
"Fixes a bug that could impact Wi-Fi," leading to speculation that the
fix addresses an issue that caused some iPhones to drop their Wi-Fi
connections and use cellular data more often.

Re: Iphone 5 and Iphone 'Evolution'

But the update is seemingly only applicable to the iPhone 5 and iPad mini. Because these two devices are having trouble with WiFi.

Re: Iphone 5 and Iphone 'Evolution'

Apple’s recent iOS 6.0.2 release had one major purpose: to fix Wi-Fi
connection issues. But according to TidBITs and many other iPhone 5
and iPad mini users on Apple’s discussion forums, the update is
draining battery life quicker than usual.

According to TidBIT’s Michael Cohen and Adam C. Engst, the
issue may be related to the updated devices now working harder to
                  scan for Wi-Fi access points.
It’s unclear how widespread the battery drain issue is but this also isn’t
the first time Apple’s iOS devices have suffered from battery issues
after a software update, and likely won’t be the last.

There was a time when all people did was talk on their phone, now with all the Apps that are available it seems that despite all the new battery technology most phones struggle to give a reasonable time before they need a re-charge, although I think 4 hours really is very poor, maybe have to bring a spare just to keep in touch.

                      Regards Mobley3

If you look to see what is running in the back ground on the I phone there is a lot causing battery drain bluetooth 3g wifi and apps running all the time

If I am not using Bluetooth and Wifi then i turn them off. Weather service is better to be off too if you dont need it all the time.

It does not seem to be that difficult a job from what I have read in this
