Record to NAS

Has any one got this to work with VIX 2.1?

I can't change the path in Recording Paths.

I modded mine with two quite fans internally connected to the scart on pins 8 and 21 so the fans turn off in stand by mode.

I also took out the modem and eSATA connector and the CPU fan.

It was much cooler and quieter.

But had to remove them put a hdd in, which was a tight fit.

You could try using the scrat to control your external USB fan by cutting off the USB and wiring into the scart, but it does supply more than 5v (USB). Test carefully!

When you are on the Recording Paths screen, press OK to go to "Select Location" and then press the Menu button and choose "switch to filelist".

You can then choose any location, (NAS, USB,...) to record to.

Thanks it work. Done some test recording to NAS works a treat!

BTW when in Recording Paths if you press "+" Channel it move the highlight to the top and allows you to change the path. In the VIX image anyway.

Wawoo this Box is amazing, thinking of getting this as i have a nas server sitting on my network as a file and ftp server , time to donate some sperm ... lol
