l have motorized dish and now l can look 4 sat. 13, 19.2, 7E and 42 . l have vu+duo. if l want to search another sat it is not possible. l want to add more sat but l cant choose? Could anyone help me please?

Update your satellites.xml file to include more sats

hi all just ordered my duo today when it arrives can i put latest image on or do i have to put the original one on and work my way up.

you can flash image directly, if you use one of the latest images (for example vti 4.0, black hole 1.7.1), don't forget to flash last bootdriver to, it's called duo_cfe.3.0.
It's very easy to flash this and image with with usb

hi need help cant seem to download blackhole 1.7.1 when i try to it goes to this warning from usa can anybody help me with a link also i need bootloader duo cfe 3.0.

hi managed to download 1.7.1 for usb opened the file up and it says boot cfe auto jffs2 is this ok to put into new box you might be hearing a lot more me due to learning.

Copy the files to usb stick in folder /vuplus/duo
Power off Duo
Insert usb stick in front port of Duo
Power on Duo

The bootloader install only takes a 3 or 4 seconds.

Remove the files fromthe USB stick before trying to flash a new image.

"open based" isn't an image. Do you mean the VIX image which is based on Open Pli?

hi sonc sorry i got a bit confused i meant to ask what open source meant if i was to put the latest vuplus 6 image on my box what would this give me.

I think BlackHole 1.7.1 is probably the best image for the Duo (although I changed the default skin as it wasn't one of my favorites).
A lot of people seem to like the Vix image also.

I think by "vuplus 6" you are referring to the official image from the manufacturer. You won't gain anything by installing this, as the "unofficial" images (BlackHole, Vix, Vti, OpenPli, etc.) are a lot more customisable.

Open source means that developers (e.g. the BH team) have access to the source code and are able to develop it and make it better, more stable and error free and more customisable.

The updates are nightly builds, it aren't new versions. Just install 1 time the pli image for your vu+ model. Updates can be done with the softwareupdate in image I think once the image installed on your receiver.

hi all does the vu dou v3.2 still have teletext as the wife is missing it just for the news updates and stuff i have got tt on my box but don't seem to work all i get is the colored buttons with numbers on. any help would be good thanks
