hi there. I would like to know if the Duo is capable of hot-plug the sáta cable while the box is turned on.

Hi Blaska,

I don't think it's designed to be hot pluggable, as you have to open the case to access the hdd and cable. So there is a risk of electric shock to yourself as well as damaging the receiver.

I wouldn't advise doing it while powered on for the above reasons, but I can't say for sure whether what you want to do will work.

IP Security Camera control centre for Enigma2

The plugin allows viewing and controlling of IP based security cameras (like Foscam security cameras) from an Enigma2 based STB (like dreambox). The camera(s) can be viewed on the TV as fullscreen or picture-in-picture (does not require dual decoders as jpegs are decoded in software). Using the remote cameras can be panned/tilted. PIP size and position can be controlled from remote control. The exact format of commands to the camera can be configured to suit most IP based security cameras - the configuration for Foscam cameras is provided.

The plugin has been tested on DM800HD, DM500HD and DM7025.

Does anyone knows if it is possible to record a channel on VU+ receiver while waching other chanals? does those receivers have a recording function at all?

The Vu+ Duo has 2 tuners, so of course you can record one channel while watching another.

What channels are available on the 2nd tuner while you are recording depends on how your dish/lnbs are connected to the receiver.

jolatacqce Don't know what image you are using but in VIX the options for the available terrestrial usb tuners are in plugins/DVB.

the second tuner must be in modus "loop to"
this can be adapted in your tuner configuration

jolatacqe, thats fine I started off with BH but have settled on VIX I have a WinTV Hauppage DVB-T 'Freeview' receiver but I think the drivers you chose can be UK or Europe. Hope I have been of help. Oh yes you have to remove stick from rear USB slot when you do an image upgrade.
