    Re: Cable pin conection

    hi

    yes, this is a RS232 serial nullmodemcable (crossed, without handshake) - there are RS232 to usb converters (some work, some don't).

        hi ahmedelsayed2013

        what exactly do you mean?
        the above mentioned cable is a serial RS232 nullmodemcable (= 2&3 crossed - without handshake).

            It's the same which cable you use, as long as the connections are soldered as they should be (see above) with the correct connections. If you doubt, best to look/buy/****** for a nullmodemcable RS232 (crossed). Ok, they aren't used that much anymore, but pretty sure you should find one. Also there are RS232 to usb adapters, but my experience is that they aren't all working

              Sorry , in my opinion I'd add a couple of pins shortcutted:

              7 <--------->8 almost in the PC port side.
              This because of CTS and RTS signal are not forced serial transmission doesn't start.
              Best regards.

                Re: Cable pin conection

                There are 2 types of null modem cable

                The first is the Simple Null Modem Cable

                2<------->3
                3<------->2
                5<------->5

                The second is the Null Modem Cable with Handshaking

                3<------->3
                2<------->2
                7<------->7
                8<------->8
                4<------->4
                6<------->6
                5<------->5

                I think that the first can do the work without problem.

                  Hi Phantom,

                  You seem to have succeeded to connect to the receiver this way. Are they any login/password required ?
                  Thanks

                    It all depends on software that is running/communicating on receiver side !
