mgcamd problem on skybox f5

I created an mgcamd.list file from my N line and tried to load this to my skybox f5 with a usb but the sky box wont recognise it as a valid mgcamd.list.

I then tried entering the N line manually in the mgcamd setup option with the remote and everything works fine.

I made sure I did all the basics like use notepad ++ and saving the file as *all files but always the same result no valid mgcamd.list file found.

Anyone had the same problem??

Are you sure that the spelling of the N-line is ok?

A N-line inside your newcamd.list should be looks like:

CWS = server.com 20000 user123 845795 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

Try again and check the spelling

Try to change the line in order to be in this form:

CWS = server port user password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

As sataday said, just replace the "N:" with "CWS = "

pay attention in syntax, there is a space before and after =

Hi aplok

If I'm not mistaken, the skybox f5 it's not a linux box and therefore there is no "mg_cfg".

It can handle both cccam and mgcamd but there is no way for advanced configuration.

Exactly right, the F5 is plug and play.
so there is no way to edit mg_cfg
