              Re: spiderbox 7000

Probably the first thing to look at is the firmware as i saw a release for the 7000,9000,9900 from the 29/03/2010 so that would be my first mission to upgrade the firmware to see of it makes the Cams more stable.

Also i believe that Newcamd is a lot more stable on the spider than what Cccam is, That could also be worth a try.

I assume you are trying 1111 in the network menu to get the hidden menu. If that isn't working then flash back to a previous version of the software. I've not heard of anyone else having this problem though? Let us know how you get on as we are here to help where we can :-)

The only real difference you should notice between the dreambox and spiderbox is the lack of control over the elements withing the {} i.e. limiting the number of hops. Other than that if the provider is good on your dreambox it should work the same on the spiderbox. There is a perception that Newcamd is better than cccam on the spiderbox but I don't necessarily agree with this as it really depends on the quality of the provider. I've had great cccam lines that work better than some newcamd lines. Although my main provider is newcamd at present and generally works great!

                    Re: spiderbox 7000

simply box spider is, when you say deleted all settings, do not do factory reset.

If you do a factory reset you delete all your settings. You have to ensure you backup all your settings before doing a factory reset. This is done by pressing the green button in the usb menu to back up your channel list.

If you have lost everything without a backup then I would suggest you download Billybits latest channel list see the Spiderbox HD Upgrade thread:

                      Then download the latest patch

                      Then do the following

1,menu network turn back on ,press 1111 to expand other options.
2,load the Billybits channel data back on enter your long/latitude if using USALS (you do this by entering the usb menu and selecting the unzipped channel list from your usb drive/stick).
3,goto key edit turn ucas back on.
4,load softcam (you do this by going into the usb menu and selecting the softcam file from your usb drive/stick).

The latest softcam is located here:

To then enter your cline do the following:

                      a. go to network and switch ethernet off if it is on.
                      b. Open client set up type CCCAM
                      c. Input the ip address from test line
                      d. Input port number
                      e. ID from test line
                      f. password from test line
                      g. apply

When viewing a channel press info twice and it will tell you which line connects.

Let us know how you get on after that.

Just to clarify one point on the above.
Load latest patch and then factory reset again before loading channel list.

so when you press menu, network, turn on, then press 1111, nothing happens, sounds like you need to load latest firmwareHD patches March 2012

                            - Digiturk 7.0E CCcam ID corrected.
                            - Easier to set up a recording manually as now you can choose from your favourites rather than having to select a channel from the full channel list.

                            Usual update process applies:

1,back up channel data udb only[menu/usb green button].
                            2,factory reset.
                            3,load todays patch S/W only.
                            4,factory reset.
5,menu network turn back on ,press 1111 to expand other options.
6,load your channel data back on enter your long/latitude if needed.
7,goto key edit turn ucas back on.
                            8,load softcam.

done this mate but it still wont open channels , didnt use billys channel list as it was for a motorised system and my dish is just fixed to 28.2 with a c-line.
would i need to install cccam2.1.2 again or anything like that after i reset all settings ? my c-line is still showing but i cant get any channels to open up . i can get bbc and itv channels but nothing else

also when i press info twice it doesn't show what line its connecting through , something not quite right just yet
