I think not having a sat button will be big blow for motorised owner. I use disecq and have always just zapped between channels irrespective of satellite. But motorised owners don't want this or their motor would be zipping about like a spider on redbull.

Hi Guys
Just a quick word all above is correct but I will add to that the remote does not have a satellite button. Definitely not handy when changing from 28.2 to 0.8 you have to go through the channel list to change sats. This is only my opinion but I think its of the mould of the cheaper boxes of which I have Openbox Skybox. Changing sats its pot luck if you land on the sat and thats after saving the position the box is not a patch on earlier version. But I guess with the perfect gift not a glitch worth the price its a pity you can't just apply the patch to an older box.

I think we have to wait a little as some improvements will come soon .

BTW is Sky Germany on 19E included in the "gift" patch?

2) In Standby it Turns ON . ( was s/w problem only )

12) Menu - Key Edit - edit a key , turn off receiver, then turn on , key has changed to previous key . If you have added it then it has disappeared .

13)ADV timer problem, if you try to save two timer events which are consecutive you get "Exceede max tp event" error.
Example : program 1 start 08.00 end 09.00 program two start 09.00 end 10.00 result error.
Example : program 1 start 08.00 end 08.59 program two start 09.00 end 10.00 result OK.

A few more starting to appear on fleabay, very oddly one seems to want you to say what satellites are being used before it is ordered, any idea why that would be, seems odd to say the least

I think you will find that the power supply problem has a software update today to fix this

I have this receiver .
I will try to give you a picture how it is .
It has one major problem at the moment but i think it will be fixed in next days .
When you put it in standby , it always turns on .
So the solution for now is to remove power supply wire.
There are also some other bugs which are not so big and sure there must be some improvements.
Box is very fast with no crashes .
Remote is very good and there is no need to target to a specific spot of box.
Setup is easy and there is no need extra knowledge.
Box's Channel editor is also easy ,you can do anything except rename favorite but PC Channel Editor needed.
I think it will be out soon .
Picture quality is very good ,better option is set to AUTO .
PVR is ok ,you can watch other channel of same tp while you are recording but if this is not encrypted .
It records in .TS format ,so you are able to watch your recordings in your PC .
Wireless is working perfect .
You just enter your Provider's password once and box saves it and keep it even if you turn it off .
Both DiseqC 1.2 & Usals work .
In DiseqC 1.2 there is also option to store any position you wish between 1 to 32
Blind scan works perfect
I also test succesfully some .mp4 format (maximum ~2,5gb.) movies in Movie player .

Has any forum member actually bought one of these yet and tested it to see what the new 'Gift' is actually like as i see a lot of comments regarding how it should be compared to the old one but no actual report from an owner.

You never know people might be surprised if its any good

That it is good news it will be interesting to see what the iks patch will be like when they sell a lot of boxes and lots more people are connected to there server if it becomes over loaded

For me it seems to be that way even now, I got it for the winter sports season, mainly Eurosport and all over Christmas and the new year I spent most of the time watching on 19E German fta because of constant glitching, I don't think it is anywhere as reliable as the old **** was. Maybe others have had better results.
