Re: Spiderbox Owners Chat!
Right so I use DNLA to stream to the spiderbox but if I want to stream from the spiderbox I need a slingbox taking the output of my box and that acts as the DNLA server I guess...
I will do some more reading...

Re: Spiderbox Owners Chat!
I tried it m8 but had a lot of bother streaming it was glitching and freezing. Could of been my network though m8 I have a lot of stuff on my network. Go to search top of page and type "Home Streaming" to be honest not quite sure which forum I got it.
Good Luck
Just had a thought you'll need a slingbox or something like it to stream from the Spiderbox I was thinking you meant the other way from other source to Spiderbox. I have a slingbox great box worth the pennies.Leave a comment:

I have copied all the films from my hard drive to a pc and formatted the hard drive on the spiderbox and it works fine againLeave a comment:

Re: Spiderbox Owners Chat!
One way to copy multiple recording is to use clone disk applications, but I don't see why they wouldn't just work if copied directlyLeave a comment:

You could also try a disc rescan to see if it has got any bad sectors, if it has they will be moved in the rescan.Leave a comment:

Re: Spiderbox Owners Chat!
The hard drive has worked fine for over a year but i agree it may be a power supply problem with the spiderbox i will see if i can power it up from a seperate usb power supplyLeave a comment:

Re: Spiderbox Owners Chat!
In my case the HD is a powered one, also it is only 80GB. It was an old SATA drive I had lying around so I just popped it into a caddy, it worked fine for over a month during which time I constantly deleted and recorded items to it, and then it just started a cycle of initially causing glitching and after a few minutes the re-boot started.

Re: Spiderbox Owners Chat!
Can you just copy the recordings to another drive - if so pick up a powered drive and copy the recordings to that... they are pretty cheap to get now... or get a powered caddy and swap the drive?Leave a comment:

Re: Spiderbox Owners Chat!
Maybe it the size of the hdd I can't remember offhand what the limit is but if it higher than specs allow it will not work, also you could try it with a powered docking station, so no power from the spiderbox is usedLeave a comment:

Re: Spiderbox Owners Chat!
mmm. that Hard drive problem does sound very like a current draw issue, I used a power HD and I have never had a reboot when using it.Leave a comment:
