    Re: Spiderbox Owners Chat!

Does your internet go off as well? There could be another device interfering with your wireless signals. Most of the times it happens using cheap quality wireless phones. Make sure your router is on a fair distance from the wireless phone.

Spiderbox is suppose to be pretty stable on Newcamd compared to CCcam, I would seriously consider a re-flash on your box and start a fresh to see if that cures the problem

perhaps now chance to go up a few notches and go for a linux box, dream?
think thats what i would do, but saying that i found spider quite good, only bought really for hd purpose.
              been a good box.

That was a strange conflict, anyone know a good program to convert trp files recorded by spiderbox, the huge HD file sizes are off putting ,but think more people would use it if they could store the files after converting avi/divx.

Just found this info on converting TRP files

                  MpegStreamclip (http://www.squared5.com) to convert trp-files to mpeg-files.

Use Apple QuickTime 7 free player (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html) with MpegStreamclip, because this combination works better.

To edit "DVDVideosoft Free VideoDup" (http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products...-Video-Dub.htm) for cutting my mpeg-files.

For combining trp files there is also a nice tool written by Babba. I've uploaded it here:

Thanks bro i got a nice program from give away of the day called Aisee soft total media converter,i can load trf files straight into it edit them then convert to file any type in HD ,tried most of them to find best quality for lowest file size and the result was Xvid at 4000kbs ,the quality is amazing ,think i was lucky to find a program that does everything.

The EPG information is provided by the channel provider it does not have anything to do with the receiver, the Rytec files that were around apparently do not seem to be very reliable, maybe work better on some STB's than others.

Yes that was the one I was referring to, and as you say if you switched off you had to do it all over again and even then it seems to have been more trouble than it was worth.
