Re: New cheap HD receiver for Card Sharing

Well, nowadays everything is built by the Chinese. The quality really depends on the price but esp where it was made... Not like we could do much about it, as long as there is a demand for cheap receivers there will be crappy Chinese stuff. I really hope the receiver I ordered from Hongkong will get here sooner or later and it will work... If not, I'm gonna be sooo pissed.

i own a dr.hd f16 for over a year now .also hongkong product .awesome
      receiver. but around 250,- euro.

also uses for more than 4 years open box 820ci. also tjap tjoy product. i have
even 2x this box and never lets me down.

resume: hong kong products dont have to be poor quality.and for less prices
you can have a lot of fun.

It is important to have good support by good team that creates many updates.
I some cheaper receivers like ipbox have the problem of relatively poor support

Re: New cheap HD receiver for Card Sharing

It is indeed a good price for a hd receiver.

Is cccam included in the image on the EDISION ARGUS MINI 2 in 1 HD IP COMBO?
If not is it difficult to install cccam and firmware?

                regards

Yes it is included into modified images of course, install firmware is really easy, just you need to insert an usb pen drive with image loaded into usb slot of box and set upgrade from menu. Cccam works just like client how hitman wroten yet.

good question noxonstaff. I think if it has a good support and adapted images that include cccam, this box could be a succes as it not that expensive.
Myself I'm hesitating to get such box as it's no linux.

This I don't know, but I dubt you can find on market for less then 150 euros a DVB-S-S2 HD receiver with DVB-T HD built in that has 2 smart card readers and 2 CI slots, HDMI connector, digital audio out and cccam and emulators.
If it exists let me know!

I know your dubts but I think this Edision is just a simply box thats allows to you to watch HD tv (terrestrial too) and use card sharing. It isn't for advanced user that wanna alot of funcions.

Re: New cheap HD receiver for Card Sharing

You are right satman. There's no look a like receiver on the market at a better price yet.
The most important is indeed be able to watch HD tv and card sharing (with cccam)
And it's a original box and european, so must be better support.
I don't have a hd receiver yet, so I'm really hesitating.
Will there be updated images on a regular base so that new cccam versions will be support (for example cccam 2.1.5 when it comes out)

Another question what is the better choise between the italian model and the german model (2 times dvb-s or dvb-c or dvb-s and dvb-t)?
I don't have knowledge about difference between the dvb types.

                              regards

certainly has a lower cost Chinese labor and product cost is lower, but also the quality of the product to be lower
