I would like to share my experience fixing an original old DM800 HD PVR box that for a long time was giving me "Tune Fail" errors. That was happening mostly on all HD channels and in some SD ones.
After searching and reading around, i managed to solve this by replacing one capacitor (and adding an extra one) in the ALPS Rev.J Tuner board.
After the fix everything works good again and the scan results on the sats i use gives me a high number of discovered channels.
I understand that in DM800's motherboard are more swollen capacitors that i'm planning to replace as soon i received them.
For anyone with same problem i will take and post some photos later and give more details.
