I think it depend on your location, as I say before , My Dish size is 12 feet (3.65 m ). I am unable to tune many channels with DVB-S2 from Hotbird 13 C .

I think you may need to check your setup M8, I have just checked all of the
DVB-S2 transponders on 13E and 12.577 H is the lowest signal for me showing
S 72% Q 72%, all other transponders show levels over S 75% Q 75% and most in fact are over 80% for both S & Q. I am in Dublin using a 1Mtr dish and Black Ultra Lnb. I would have thought your signal would be at least on a par unless you are using a small dish?

The problem for me is Hotbird not completely covered, Some transponder have very strong signals and other have almost no signal .

Hi , I believe this is true if you refer about to HD trasponders.
In fact what I can say is that signal is less than others and so if you have snow on your dish this trasponder is the first to disappear.
                Best regrads.

But you encounter winds and thunderstorm mostly in summer as I know, which are much worst than snow, they usually destroy huge Satellite Dishes.

maybe the efficiency should be analysed in terms of multifocus and motorized dishes, taking into consideration the performaces and prices

quality signal intensities 89% and 75% is enough to get a good view of a channel

The quality of signal if HD channels is normally very good, near the top. The problem is that decreases quickly when it snows (also few cm)or heavy rains and I can't watch them but only SD versions
I' ve 120 cm centralized dish for all my building ( 8 users)

I have a 65cm dish and all DVB-S2 on 13E work even when snowfall and rain. Very important is a very good LNB. The length and quality of cable. No cable joints. No diseq. It is best to immediately connect the cable from the LNB to satellite tuner.

The neighbors also have the same problem as you with the reception of DVB-S2 on 13E?

Perhaps you know the coverage map by HB 13A/B/C.
