If I set the USALS protocol, the parabola moves. I set the coordinates of my area where I live, but I can not catch the satellites. I followed the instructions in the manual. I placed the zero and put in a perfectly vertical. Is there something I'm missing?

As i explained in the latter part of my post if your going to use USALS or GOTOX as it is called on the Jeager then your Dish has to be installed 100% correctly with no margin for error or the USALS system will drive past the satellite you want it to go to.

@ digicon. Thanks for info, I just ******d Jaeger and read it was optimised for Diseqc so did not look further.

@ Sardosat, you need to send the Motor to the chosen Satellite, ie.13E, 19E then you will need to rotate the Motor around the mounting pole to peak it for that Sat. You need to take time and move in small amounts. As you are in Europe there should not be a problem with the Sat's you say you can not receive.

Hi Digicon, I have a 60cm dish with one LNB and single tuner box looking 19E Astra, and I want to add 28E Freesat to it, can you please advice how to set this up? Thanks.

to save on buying extra Bracketry and LNB i would suggest if your happy with a single feed from both 19.2° east and 28.2° east then this will do the trick very nicely: _ttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Octagon-Flex-Feed-Monobloc-Lnb-4-15-Deg-Adjustable-/281210533342?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item417974 35de

Thank you. so this does not need any switches etc. As i understand i need to mount one of the heads to the lnb holder on the dish, and the other will be standing sideways. i suppose if the dish stays the same orientation towards 19 degrees, then the other can be set to 9 degrees from the other to look at 28 degrees, is that right? would the second one then pick up all the channels properly? i think i have read somewhere that maximum angle need to be 6 degrees to pick the signal properly. have you tried this kind of setup before? thanks in advance.

No need for a Diseqc switch its built into the LNB and yes i have a similar setup an 80cm ISS with 4 x Quad Smart titanium bullets LNB's with a spead of 15° so i know it can be done.

My 80cm does 13° east to 28.2° east with Zero problems even in heavy rain

                  Hi Zimbabwe

I think that a dish of 60cm it's very small for what you want.
It's better to look for a bigger dish.

                    Re: Multi Satellite Set-up

Just for record, I've switched to 90cm antena with motor 2 years ago, from 4 antenas with multi LNB's.

Advantages - only 1 antena and 1 LNB.
Disavantages - you have to wait 1-5 secs for motor to move antena when you switch sat's, depending where was last position.

Problems: only with 16E I had to tweak a bit sat position to get max signal > 85%

And all of those with a crap 3 euro Amiko LNB. Perfect dish position matter a lot more that LNB.

And even today, motor works with out problems.

Another disadvantage with motor : you cannot watch 13E and record another program at 19E (or whatever other satpositions).
With my setup (amiko alien triple tuner + wavefrontier 10 LNB's) I can even record on 2 different satellites and watch DVB-T.

                        I agree with Teranoz

With a motor you are limited in using only one satellite each time for recording.
This is very important for someone who wants to record often from different satellites.

In this way you can take full advantage of a twin or even a triple tuner of a modern receiver.

If someone needs to record a lot then surely a twin motorised set-up is a solution for them, that way they can cover the bulk of the Sats available to them? Personally I use a Fixed and a Motoried system and I find that it gives me all the options I need. Just a thought, I realize that the cost, and, also planning restrictions could be a problem for some

Yes , i concur , i have 3 dishes at the moment , 1 motorised and 2 fixed .. of which 1 zone one with quad lnb for 28e and a CM 90cm for 1w .. the positions i watch the most .

The motorised one can be quite tricky sometimes as maybe the stub is not fixed very tightly and has some play or the wind moves it marginally and always have to play with it .

The fixed ones , rarely touch them .. but as it has been said , i have quite a big garden and having multiple dishes is not a problem for me , it's the main reason i chose this house . it's when you leave in a block of flats that is more problematic but with some ingenuity you can make things work .

I'm using a Toroidal T90. It's like a 90 cm dish for every pointed sat.

                                Very good work!!!

...but I'm noticed that you have fixed it over a wooden palette ???

                                why you did that?

                                Is it stable enough?
