    done mine using a Metal based paint, worked a treat, no loss of signal or reception

      I painted my dish using a rustproof paint opaque castings. The signal that I get is perfect and as before

                But with the bright colors like yellow, orange, green, and so the signal you can get equally good?

                  Don't think that'll make a difference, the dish is designed to reflect the signal anyway. So bright colours should be ok.

                    I used a aerosol can dark green matt to blend in with trees and it worked fine no loss of signal

                      It's not really the colour of the paint job you need to worry about. certain types of paint reflect the heat back onto the LNB and can Fry it or at the very least cause signal loss and other odd effects. I would always recommend using matt finish.

                        Please be advised to be very careful and always follow the health and safety rules and regulation. If the dish is on a hight then use secure ladders. If another roof is involved then use a roof Ladders. Always ask a family member or friend to help you with your task. And avoid going up on the Laddres in high winds and rain.

                            I really doubt that it is the best job, while it may last longer I would be concerned by the paint base, I think you could be reflecting a lot of heat back onto the Lnb surface with consequent damage to same.
