    1m dish vs 1.2

Myself I have changed from 90cm dish to 1m20 dish and for me it's better this way, for example better signal than before on sirius 5E and nilesat 7E.
Certainly also depends where your dish stands/hangs, mine is on a foot on balcony. Maybe moving your dish could help to?
In general I think 1m20 will help you to get better signal but not sure for 100%.

ps : bong1 his question is original question, answers seems to be post before question

Bigger dish is always better. It will also improve S/N in the worst weather.
Is my post useful for you? Please press sigpic

i use 1.2, if you getting what you say the only benefit with a 1.2 dish is better signals when weather condition deteriorates, always thou bigger best.

1.2 metre dish might bring in Nilesat and badr 3/4.
What is your location in the u.k.? If it is north/ north west you'll still struggle with those 2 but in the south you should pick them up with a 1.2 metre.
Also don't forget about planning permission!

i had the 1m up for over a year so i dont think anyone is going to notice the slight increase i know the local council wont allow 1.2 so i wont bother them i just wanted to make sure it was worth it

Bokkie mate i install all over the north west and i can tell you now a correct installation on a 90cm will get you Eutalsat 7.2° west and all of badr4 on 26° east, The bigger the dish will just give you a better rain fade margin on those 2 satellites

Yes you should but like i said it all depends on the equipment used and your dish type, For example A Black Ultra LNB will help with a 1m as long as its in good condition and not some cheap imported crap say something like a TD110 or an Orbital, ISS etc...

Your receiver plays a big part as well if its tuner are sensitive such as those used in a TM5402HD

Also depends on line of site issues, interference, etc.
I just don't think you can generalise and say you definitely will.
Are there any issues and what receiver, dish and lnb do you have?

Then you should have no problems picking it up, That is of course you dont have any alignment problems

With that setup InThe south east you should get them both. So with everything setup spot on you should get them no probs.
