    Disagree with this statement as if the dish is aligned properly then you should have no problem getting HD channels on a mini-dish.

      Recent LNB's have much better performance than the ones from some years ago. Which doesn't mean the old one wouldn't get you HD. But especially with S2 and/or 8PSK a better quality signal is needed than with S and QPSK.
