Thats a good choice and a good collection. 1.10m dish is more than enough and you shouldn't have any problems with it in winter unless it heavily snows. The LNB is worth it but If you have a bigger dish then THE LNB wouldn't make a big difference.

thats not a bad idea really, if 30west your favourite with many film chns cine1/2/3/4 sports etc, lots in english, you are quite right to have a fixed dish on hispasat if you want no problems with alignments, but we all know its best to have a motor as a whole lot of more choice of viewing.

Be aware that the cable attenuation will count if the cable is longer than 20m. Make sure to keep the cable length as short as possible and remove the extra trailing cable to keep the signal strong.

Could you not have the 80cm fixed on hispasat and motorise the 1.10 m dish?
You're pretty much slap bang in the middle of the intended broadcast area.I pick up hispasat with no problems, in all weather conditions, here in the u.k. on my 80cm.
If you're in Portugal you should have no problems at all.

bokkie's suggestion is good. In Portugal you will have less rain and snow and more hot weather so 80cm you wont have signal problems with rains or snow. 1.1m on a motor will pick up many more sats/ channels for you.

                  Re: help motor diseq

Check the cable for demages. If water enter inside cable you are in trouble, sometimes even in good weather condition you can have low signal or quality.

Use T-Conecctors on both edges of the cable and remove any cable extenders (watherproof conectors that require compresion to mount them).

Be ware of trees and walls, and avoid electrical wires near your cable (on 30m distance electricity can make magnetic field that can be a problem, or if you must cross tre electric wires try to jump over them with 90degrees but never to be paralell with electricity).

                  good luck

I think you have made a good choice, and yes the Inverto will be worth it. I do not think that you will be disappointed with either of your choices. Enjoy.

You need to give a little more information as you say your having a Diseqc problem, Is your dish Motorised or fixed with multi Lnb ? certainly high winds can cause problems and move the mount around the pole, what is your reference Sat and are you getting any signal on it ?.If you are using fixed dish then check all connection at the dish.

                        Regards Mobley3

Just re-read your post, are you using Diseqc to drive the Motor? if so please ignore comments re fixed dish

You might want to check dish alignment, it might have been blown in the winds.

Your dish is either misaligned or out of position,.
First try to move your dish eastwards with the remote without saving to see if you are out of position.
Then try to re-align you dish on hotbird to maximise signal strength......you might have Astra 19.2 & 28.2 coming back.
If you can get up to the dish with a TV o someone watching for you, first move to Astra 19.2 or 28.2, then without unscrewing a bolt, tap the dish up and down to see if you gain strength. This will tell you how much you are misaligned.
