many receivers and plug in have problem with motors and when you move dish it take times. so i suggest you use switch that have 8 port i think its cheap and is more easily.
    ofcourse this is my opinion

8 lnb's will cost way more than a motor. It is a simple trade off of either fast switching between a few sats, or having the whole arch available to you and being future proof.

Firstly check that your motor is still working ie is the dish turning, if not you need to check cables.
If it is a fixed dish with offset lnbs, the offsets are much weaker and will suffer from even a small misallignment.
If it isn't that it could be water in the switch box assuming it is outside, which it probably is.

            Hi parsonline,
you right if you need to save time, but If you have enought space to move dish I'd suggest motor!
I'm using now and I've to wait just a few.
            Best regards

                Yes mate ,you are right

Not all receivers support these swiches, but they are mainly some old boxes and without many options.
Most of the new linux receivers don't have any problem to handle 8 (or even more) port switches.
