    Re: 26e on 80cm motorised?

I'll give it a try later. My dish is an iss 80, which is actually more like a 70. I'm thinking about going for a td88 as well to try bring 26e in, and maybe a sniff at 7w.

I get about 72% on TF1 in the pissing rain. No problems there mate.
Haven't you got a multi lnb setup?

I get 86% strength and 70% quality on TF1 in dry weather. I'm not convinced my TD88 will be good enough for 26e.

I have three LNBs on a 60cm zone 2 Sly dish, my TD88 has one Titanium dual lnb that is pointed at 9e only.

Give it a try, or stick a motor on it. You might get a pleasant surpise.

I think the weather this weekend might mean I'll have to wait a week or two. Worth a go though, just hope it works as if it doesn't I'll have to realign to 9e again and that took me ages to get the signal perfect. I'm tempted to put a motor on it, just means my dish will really only feed the OpenBox in my conservatory, at the moment I have a second feed to the EyeTV connected to my Mac.

Dubai Sports HD can also be got from 52.5° east and easily receivable on a 60cm, if you can reach that far round the ARC of course

Thanks for that toby, I'll never have a dish big enough for badr5&6 so that saves me from trying 26e, I'll keep mine focused on 9e for now.

while i was at it for you checking, (missus watching upstairs on bbc2) there is a hell of a lot of chns that show the forumla1, but as you well know, its not in english on many, this is where we fall back onto the old radio waves, as i use to do also for the footy.
sorry could not help more but will keep persuing.

Well if you ever give 26e a go, please let me know the outcome.
I'm considering a td88 and would love to know if it's big enough for 26e.
                          Thx

                            -------
                            morning bokkie,
                            been looking at them dishes,
                            what i seen td88=£41.67
                            td110=£58.52
                            different prices elsewhere no doubt.
and what if the td110 not big enough for badr4?
not to keen on the lnb bracket, looks like the lnb is just snapped into position, this might go brittle in time an when you perhaps in the future change lnb, might snap.
                            just a thought,
                            comments welcome

                              Morning Toby.
I would never be able to go as big as the td110 due.to the location of my dish.
It's in the roof valley between mine and neighbors house attached to his wall.
He agreed to the iss80, don't think he'd like a td 110 on his wall though.
Also wind load might be an issue as well as space.
Think the td88 is as big as i'll be able to go.
If size wasn't an issue I'd go for a 2 metre dish so I could get dstv on 68.5e.

yes, think you mentioned that while ago, really its best to think just what chns you personally want to view and go chasing after those an be happy, big dishes can be bigger issues, a lot of chaps like to chase every satellite going, but a lotta time gain nought but wasted time, i know you wanted supersport (rugby) but sometimes we have to be happy about what we get.
                                take care,
                                toby.
ps. did you manage those rugby chns at all, mind you dont go off topic, not any rugby on badr4 to my knowledge.
