    Re: SatFinder for Android

If you are doing a simple installation like sly uk, then floow your neighbour dish. There is a small analogue meter on fleabay called "satfinder" costs about £4. Very useful device. It powers up by receiver and it beeps if your dish is in line with a satellite. Don't forget to have the tv handy and watch the signal strength.

For signal meter you can use krkadoni's one.

On ****http//krkadoni.com you have signal meter for android.
You need wireless connection available at your dish location because signal meter connects to your receiver and shows you signal strenght from receiver.

I've set up my dish with pc version and it's prety cool solution. No need for buying new equpment or hiring someone to do it for you.

I use Satellite AR, Its Free. not sure how accurate it is. but Im planning to get motorised dish soon and will use it. I also have a sat meter app to align fixed dishes, so you can align the dish with wifi android tablet or mobile.

There is an app called satellite doctor in the ****** play store called 'satellite doctor'.
                It worked fine for me.
It uses gps and shows you in which direction to set up you satellite.
It contains positions of 250 satellites approx.
It is a free app and works better than with other many satellite postioning apps which costs.
                So try it
                Hope I could help !
If I helped you please press thanks button!

                    Re: SatFinder for Android

all apps listed, given the accuracy of GPS with respect to the antenna pointing, you only insicazioni rough. Professional tools or directly see the signal from the decoder provide certain results.

SatFinder for Android satlovers it's just a rough planning tool to help avoid obstacles and help to choose the best place to position the antenna. It will never replace a FSM iphone has a compass and level builtin too....
