Villager is right, but the fine can be high depending on where you live.
I read that 2 years ago some people where caught in France, they had paid a subscription on a server based abroad. Fine: 15000 euros per customer.

The severity varies from country to country. But the law will always seek the source of the problem, that is a fact and will always stay the same so the Card hosts will always carry the "greater" risk, but any sort of card sharing whether it is hosting or being a client will always be illegal.

My friend, there are tons of satellite pay tv providers here in Africa. The biggest and greediest among them being Multichoice Africa ( the owners of DSTV).
Africa has become a very fertile ground in recent times for satellite broadcasters with ever increasing satellite owners providing new sat beams to cover the continent effectively. The satellite footprint for KU band reception is very good with as little as 45cm dishes, you are good to go.

In most countries outside Europe they don't give a damn. So if you are using a uk card setup outside. You can get I'm trouble but the server owner has no risk.

I'm not sure if I understand what you are saying!

From what I have been led to believe if you are a server in the UK you will be the one that will have their door knocked on first.

That is if they can trace you and you have been stupid enough to use a static ip!

In my country, cardsharing is an illegal act, but no one cares, and neither the police... Hell they have it too in their stations (I saw it with my own eyes)

Something like torrent downloading, but this (I think) is a much bigger crime :\

from what i know its the server host who gets the knock at the door, as there has been a few arrests in the uk but for cable servers.

In my country they are still busy with arresting rioters, so it will be quite a while before they come knocking on my door!

LOL....I can just imagine greedy Murdochs response to something like that happening here in the UK!

Has anyone tried tunneling over IP ?
Doing so makes the flow completely transparent and untraceable.
