The CPU type is ARM. Maybe vu+ will have a new OS for this box. What do you think?

May well be wishful thinking on the part of some people. I have to say I was a little surprised myself about this price ,I would have thought around €600- 700.
                hopefully the speculators are correct.

                regards mobley3.

                    Re: Vu+ Solo 4K

I would like to share with you some interesting points about the new vu+ box.

First of all, there is no rear fan inside the box but with better ventilation through the top cover.

The power supply is external as we can see the input switch for external 12 volt 5Amp.

There is a 2.5" HDD slot at the back of the box, something very useful for many users.

Finally, there is no Scart connection.

                        Re: Vu+ Solo 4K

Vu have basically copied what Xtrend have done on thee latest receiver the Xtrend 8500 for the hard drive anyway. the xtrend has detachable hard drive covers that does not need the case open to insert them.

Just pull out plastic mounting plate insert hard drive and then slot back into machine and mount drive, This is the same as what appears on the back of the Vu 4K machine.

                        Nice touch

In most cases, the copy in technology is something that can be very annoying but this time I think that the HDD slot of the Vu+ it's welcome from all users

Yes new CPU is a game changer. Probably BCM7252 or BCM7262. ARM is less popular now than mispel, but in future it most certainly will change.

From Video's from AngaCom unfortunately OS looks like E2. But that's only presentation, so there is still hope for something newer than very very old E2.

Looks great. Won't be much use until more 4k channels are available though.
                              Definitely like a future buy.
