      It's fantastic!!!

I think also that all competitors are working on this kind of dec. When we will have providers transmitting in 4K, all companies will launch their own machine and prices go down....

      I hope.

very good news ..... but with the price of 1200 euro ?! it will be expensive
it will be cool if it's around 500 - 700

If the "solo uhd" is the same as the "solo 4K" then they are already available at dealers for around £400 or 560 Euro.

            Still too much IMHO.

                Re: Vu+ Solo 4K

I would say its still a little to early to invest in one yet as a lot of the software and hardware are still in beta testing phase, give it a few months then it may be worth a purchase

I agree with digicon and I would like to add that it's very early for 4K era.

I think that it's better to wait for some months until many 4k channels will be available.

After that, I believe that its price will be dropped very quickly (look at 4k tvs what is happening )

Like an itch that you can not scratch, very early days as already mentioned. I can appreciate that people who have 4K Tv's want to get the best from them. Probably be another 12 months before the hardware becomes affordable and the program makers provide a useful amount of content to watch.

                    regards mobley

I have a solo2 and even though it does more than i can wish for, the 4k box is tempting... coz you know... it's new... and faster. i think i'm a vu+ fanboy.

It is certainly new and faster but be aware ATM there is very little programming available for it

Mostly in Satellite STB, you need performance, not a speed every time, I always wish a nice tuner in upcoming STB

                                I agree.
For example, what is the point of saving a few tenths of a second in zapping time if the tuner is not sensitive enough to receive the channels in the first place.

Are the solo 4k tuners plug and play or fixed?
                                Does it do 4:2:2 ?
