pause/rewind DM800

can anyone tell me can you pause and rewind on DM800 SE, this does not seem to work on mine?

is anyone able to pair their remote with sony bravia, followed the instructions on many sites, yet mine just blinks and thats it, i think i might have a newer model of DM800 se,any help would be appreciated, thanks

Do you mean when watching a recording on the hard disk?

The buttons are those below the 4 coloured buttons, they are also used for time shifting; if they do not work and you are sure the remote control is ok, try to restart the decoder and if it does not work, reinstall the image.

I assume that you have a hdd or usb stick installed. You would need this to use time shift.

i am using usb stick, i can record ok, but cannot pause rewind live tv, what is time shifting?

Time shifting is the one that you can't do

Time shifting is the recording of programming to a storage medium to be viewed or listened to at a time more convenient to the consumer.

With the time shifting you can pause the live transmission or to use the rewind - fast forward keys to move.
By pressing the exit you can resume to live tv.

Are you sure that your box supports time shifting?

Your box is the dm800se right?
If yes, should support time shifting.

Try to find the necessaries settings about it in the menu and set up it.

thanks kalpikos,

still having bother with this, i went into menu/setup/system/record - this is the only place i can see anything to do with pausing, still does not work, any help would be apreciated. thanks

Hi

Try this:
menu > setup > system > timeshift settings or recording paths

depending on the image you have.

There you should find some settings for timeshift.

You can enable it or disable it and also you can change the path where the timeshift saves the live transmission.

As you use a usb stick, you have to give the right path for saving.
