My vote goes for the Vu+ Zero.

It does an excellent job, hasn't slowed down a bit yet. If you don't need more than one tuner it more than suffices (and you could add USB tuners).

I got my Vu+ Zero from Germany for 136€ delivered.

I flashed it with Blackhole 2.1.4 from here vuplus-community.net/board/forums/vu-zero-black-hole-images.113/
I don't know if any other groups support it.


It has worked perfectly since then, USB WLAN works, CCcam works, OpenWebIf streaming works, and all without slowing down at all. Picture quality is excellent, very quick to change channels.

If you're like me and don't need the Zero to do much more than the above, it is the perfect box.

OpenATV, OpenPli, and Black Hole

I think also, that it's a matter of time to be supported from vix team.

Hi rizwan,

I do not have much experience with tuners (this is my first box) but I get 81% signal quality on the BBC 1 HD TP from here in the UK with 45cm Lidl camping dish. I'm having problems with Horizontal TPs but I think my cabling or my LNB skew are faulty.

I cannot compare between various models of VU+, I have only tried one VU+solo it has been more than 2 years now,and still going good and planning to buy a new reciever which will definately be a VU+ model
have a dreambox 500hd too, which I don't use much,
for me surely VU+ is better

Another vote for the VU Solo4K had mine for around 9 months and it has no problem with any 4K UHD channels on satellite so far
