    Re: best satellite receiver box

If you need 1 tuner go for Vu+ solo se. If you need two tuners go for Vu+ solo2. Xtrend and Gigablue receivers are good too but Vu+ is other league.

    regards

Be careful where your buying your Solo2.
1st I got a clone and by the looks of it should be the latest in originality. ( you'll find posts showing how to spot a clone ) This one was just like original.
Spend some more money but buy from a good store.

      Good luck.

If you want to make recording also remember to get a HDD installed too by the supplier. Alternatively you can do it yourself. It is quite straightforward.

I am with an eye on Amiko A3, so far seems the fastest possible receiver.. only I am not sure I will like XBMC - confused.

If you need more then one tuner and perhabs a DVB/C-T tuner then you have to buy the VU-duo2 that at the moment are the best tuner on the market. An other good choice is the Gigablue HD Quad Plus or Xtrend ET10000

To me Solo 2 is the best by far and yes it has no problems with xbmc.

Dreambox 8000HD forever but it costs much more compared to the VU Solo

Dreambox are a very good product but DB800HD is not state of the arte today. Vu+ are today one of the deccoder leader. It's too much time that Dreammultimedia don't presnt a new Dreambox. In the next few week we will see perhaps the DB 7080 but I think the price will bee to hight.

I own a DM8000HD since 2010 and it is still the Multimedia top product, honestly I cannot find any negative point in it, I use Nemesis 2.6 and I am fully satisfied!

Ok you are fully satisfied I think that dreammultimedia products are good but the price are to high and at the moment they have no new products on the market. Dremamultimedia speaks since 6 month from the 7080 but you can't find it at the shops. In the past Dreamboxes where the best product for me and I bought ten years ago a Dreambox 7000. Now since two month I'm looking for anew decoder and so my choice will be a Vu+ products because the 7080 is not at the market now.

You are right my friend about the VU+

Some year ago the king on the satellite receivers it was the dreambox and none box couldn't be compared with it, but today the king is the VU+ .

As about the price of dm7080, I found it on a onlne shop for pre-order at 620€

I'm sorry my friend, but I can find a negative point ...

                            Its price

The pricing policy of Dream Multimedia it's very bad and always had overpriced products.

Yes kalpikos in reference to the price and the Dreammedia price policing I do agree with you but the quality of the hardware can't be discussed and the quality costs but, maybe is a overestimated like you said.

Vu+ is also a quality product, as we compare the different STB , Dreambox too costly, what they offer for
