best satellite receiver box

Hi,
I am new to this forum and dont know much about all these things.
I have a skybox f3 which i am not really happy with because of its quality of reception. I am thinking of buying a new box but dont really know which one would be the best.
I would appreciate if some one suggest something good. I dont have any specific budget.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Turi1,

If I were you, I would buy a vu+ solo 2 original. You won't regret it. Make sure you buy it from a reliable seller because there are lots of clones of this receiver.

I'm also looking to buy a new stb and have been doing a lot of reading up.
At the moment I've narrowed it down to either a VU+ duo2 or a solo2.
I think the solo2 will be the one I go for. Why pay an extra £100 for a gimmicky LCD display.

I also have an genuine vu+solo2 and I'm very happy so far.

I use openpli4 and it's amaising receiver.
It's very fast , very reliable with very good support for plugins, addons and images.

Vu receivers have many things in common with dreamboxes but for me they are much better , faster and of course they worth their money.

I recommend it without second thought.

The VU+ is the receiver I will be heading for next. it is going to be a bit of a learning curve
for me as I have no experience with Linux,but, I will be looking forward to the journey.

is it not able to have more tuners than the solo2 and they are plug and play
also it has more ram if memory serves me right

but i agree the vu+ are definitely the best boxes

There are many clones on market and you have to be very careful from where you will buy a vu+ receiver.

Don't trust ebay, don't trust people on blogs or unknown pages that sell vu solo2 on good price.
